When I was swooning over the final season of the West Wing a few years ago (the last refuge of those demoralized by the Bush presidency), Mark used to say, "You know, you're a Santos Democrat!" Santos was the democratic presidential candidate played by Jimmy Smits. Turns out he was based on Obama.
